Enrico Giorgi is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, where he teaches Landscape Archaeology and Urban Archaeology. He is the founder and director of the e-journal GROMA: Documenting Archaeology and coordinates the TolomeoLab for geo-archaeological analysis and documentation. Giorgi is president of the Centre for Adriatic Archaeology Studies and serves on several scientific committees and editorial boards. He has directed numerous research projects in Italy and abroad, including the Italian–Albanian Archaeological Mission at Butrint (Albania). He is also a member of the Butrint Research Group, part of the Butrint Management Foundation responsible for overseeing the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint. His research focuses on developing projects and methodologies for the study and documentation of ancient landscapes and urban archaeology.
