About the Author

Jonathan Hart is a Senior Publications Officer at Cotswold Archaeology and has extensive experience of fieldwork and publication work. He is also active in community engagement and staff training.

Simon Sworn, formerly Cotswold Archaeology, now co-director of ISCA Archaeology Ltd based in the South-West of England. He has extensive field and publications experience.

Andrew Mudd, formerly CA, has extensive archaeological experience working on numerous sites in the UK and also in South America. He has managed large post-excavation programmes on projects such as Hinkley Point C and the A46 Nottinghamshire. He has co-authored numerous monographs and journal articles.

Abby Antrobus has worked as a local authority archaeological advisor with a specialism in urban sites, and she contributed to the East Anglian Regional Research Framework. Her PhD thesis was on medieval Bury St Edmunds. She has authored and co-authored journal articles, and written a book chapter on ‘medieval shops’.
