Yeoman Farmers and Handloom Weavers: The Archaeology of the Kingsway Business Park

Kingsway Business Park lies to the south-east of Rochdale and was previously a rural landscape, which was largely settled and deceloped from the sixteenth century onwards. This booklet presents the results of a series of archaeological building surveys and excavations that were carried out within the business park, prior to its construction, which provide an insight into the history of this landscape, together with the types of post-medieval houses that existed across a wide part of the Lancashire Pennines.
