The study of landscape has in recent years been a field for considerable analytical archaeological experimentation. Sauro Gelichi is Professor of Medieval Archaeology at the University of Ca’ Foscari, Venice.

Lauro Olmo-Enciso is Professor of Archaeology at the Department of History and Philosophy, University of Alcalá, (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid).
