Thierry Theurillat has served as Assistant director of the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece (ESAG) since 2001. He has directed excavations at Eretria and Amarynthos, co-authored the monograph on the Roman baths at Eretria, and co-edited a catalogue for the exhibition on Eretria. His research focuses on Early Iron Age Greece, with interests in the origins of alphabetic writing, settlement development, and the sanctuary of Artemis at Amarynthos.
