Susana Mota is an integrated researcher at Centro de Estudos Globais of Universidade Aberta and visiting Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta (Lisbon, Portugal). Between 2016 and 2023, she was responsible, alongside José das Candeias Sales, for the research project Tutankhamun in Portugal: Reports in the Portuguese Press (1922-1939). In 2024, also with José das Candeias Sales, she began the research project Egyptomania in Portugal: Paths of the Reception of Ancient Egypt in a Portuguese Framework.
