Romina Della Casa

Romina Della Casa is a Historian of the Ancient Near East with a research focus on Hittite Anatolia. She holds degrees in History Teaching, in History Research (Licenciatura) from the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA), and a Ph.D. in History of the Ancient Near East and Hittitology from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Since Hittitology is a field of research with no tradition in Argentina, Romina conducted most of her Ph.D. in Europe thanks to scholarships given by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD, Germany), The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK, Turkey), Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (RCAC/ANAMED, Turkey), the Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst (KAAD, Germany), and the National Council of Technological and Scientific Research (CONICET, Argentina). Presently, Romina is a postdoctoral fellow at The Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University (2019-2021), and works on Human-Non-Human Encounters in Hittite Anatolia, which focuses on the variety of ways non-human animals inspired behavior and thought in ancient Anatolia.
