Rafael A. Barroso-Romero is a doctoral researcher at the Max-Weber-Kolleg, Universität Erfürt and at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he lectures as a member of the Department of Ancient History. He has been a research assistant and teaching assistant in Archaeology at the Universidad de Córdoba and in Ancient History at the CIL II Centre of the Universidad de Alcalá. He is currently developing his doctoral research on materiality, spatiality, and the body in unusual burials in the Roman West.
