I. Raimondo received her M.A. in Archaeology from the University of Pisa and her Ph.D. in Classical Studies and Archaeology from the Universities of Pisa, Florence and Siena. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Archaeology from the Postgraduate School of Archaeology of the University of Salento. Today she works in the engineering department of the Italian State Railways Group, dealing with rescue archaeological procedures.
