Adrián Gordón-Zan

Adrián Gordón Zan holds a PhD in Ancient Sciences from the University of Zaragoza and is a substitute lecturer at the same university. He specializes in the study of Roman imperial numismatics and the representation of imperial power, especially during the 3rd century AD. His lines of research focus on the study of coin finds and hoards from the ancient world, as well as the dissemination of messages and the legitimizing role of Roman coin typology and the construction of identity between emperors and soldiers through clothing. He has also worked on the public image of the Augustae of the 3rd century AD, including those of the Severan dynasty and that of Salonina.
