Dong Hoon Shin currently researches paleopathology and biological anthropology as a professor in Seoul National University, South Korea. His research has been mainly focused on the acquisition of data on pre-modern health and disease. Using research tools ranging from anatomical and histological techniques to various biochemical analyses, he has worked to reveal the changing patterns of physical and pathological traits throughout human history.
